Maritime security

The Cruise Security Teams have the below characteristics:

Characteristics:  

a. They clearly recognise Master as overall authority on board.

b. They always behave as Maritime SG’s, with professional appearance, discretion and expertise.

c. They respect the working rules, all the crew members and the officers onboard, (Recognise the chain of command).

d. They respect ISPS code and Sea law.

e. They are familiar with SSP, (Ship’s Security Plan).

f. They are holders of all necessary certificates for deployment, (STCW, DSD, SSO etc).

g. They can use all the security tools onboard, (Scan devises, X-Ray machines etc).

h. They are polite with all the passengers, (not too close relations, only professional contact).

Duties: 

a. Primary objective is the safety and security of Passengers, Crew and Cruise Vessel’s equipment.

b. Vessel Familiarization, meet Captain, Officers and Crew immediately after embarkation 

c. Through transit the SG’s show presence, (The members of the team, in rotation are checking all the places in the cruise Vessel).

d. The docking hours, duty 24/7(All gangways, entrances controlled by our team, nobody and nothing gets on board if we don’t check it first).

e. The Vessel opens the gangways for the passengers, only after we check it and permitted. 

f. All the passengers are checked before embarkation.

g. All provisions are checked before embarkation.

h. Before Departure we are reporting to the Master all onboard.

i. They provide all necessary help to passengers all time with polite way.

j. They have access everywhere.

k. They help in cases of emergency (abandon, fire etc).

l. The Master’s consent is necessary to execute All the above duties.
